Note: Grayish white poisonous powder once commonly used as an herbicide and insecticide but retired due to its high toxicity. It is currently used for preservation of color in zoological and botanical specimens; in taxidermy, as ingredient in soap used for cleaning and sterilizing hides.

Dutch ..... Grijsachtig wit giftig poeder dat vroeger algemeen werd gebruikt als verdelgingsmiddel en insecticide, maar dat in die hoedanigheid van de markt is gehaald vanwege de hoge toxiciteit. Tegenwoordig wordt het gebruikt om kleur te behouden in zoƶlogische en botanische specimens. In de taxidermie wordt het gebruikt als ingrediĆ«nt in zeep voor het reinigen en steriliseren van huiden.
