Note: Diagrams for setting up shaft looms to construct particular weaves. Traditonally drawn up on point paper or some other kind of paper with preprinted lines, they show at least one weave unit of the cloth to be woven. A complete set of them instructs the weaver how to plot the drawing in of the warp, connect the shafts and treadles, the order in which the treadles are to be used, the interlacement of warp and weft, and the transverse section of the weave.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 用來設定紡織機以構成特定織法的圖示。傳統的編織草圖是畫在意匠紙或其他印有格線的紙上，至少顯示待編織布料的一個編織單位。一組完整的編織草圖會指示編織者要如何安排拉入經紗、連接機軸與踏桿、使用踏桿的順序、經紗與緯紗的交織方式、以及編織的橫斷面。 |
| Dutch ..... Diagrammen aan de hand waarvan schachten op een weefgetouw worden gezet om bepaalde weefpatronen te maken, van oudsher getekend op patroonpapier of ander papier met voorgedrukte lijnen. Ze tonen ten minste één weefeenheid van de te weven stof. Een complete serie diagrammen laat de wever zien hoe hij de ketting moet uitleggen, de schachten en pedalen met elkaar moet verbinden, in welke volgorde de pedalen moeten worden gebruikt, op welke manier de schering en de inslag vervlochten moeten worden, en toont het kruiselingse profiel van het weefpatroon. |
| Spanish ..... Diagramas para instalar telares de varas a fin de realizar tejidos específicos. Tradicionalmente trazados en papel punteado o alguna otra clase de papel con líneas preimpresas, presentan al menos una muestra de la tela que va a ser tejida. Un juego completo de ellos instruye al tejedor como preparar el diseño de la urdimbre, como conectar las varas y los pedales, acerca del orden en que los pedales deben ser usados, como entrelazar urdimbre y trama, y le muestra la sección tranversal del tejido. |
