Note: Chests richly decorated with marquetry patterns of arches and fantastic architecture, reminiscent of Henry VIII's (vanished) palace of Nonsuch; the appellation means unequalled. Probably made in North Germany, or by 16th-century German craftsmen who settled in London.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Kisten die rijkelijk zijn versierd met inlegwerk van gewelven en fantasie-architectuur ter nagedachtenis van het (verdwenen) paleis Nonsuch van Hendrik VIII. De naam van het paleis betekent 'ongeëvenaard'. Ze zijn waarschijnlijk in Noord-Duitsland gemaakt, of in London door 16e-eeuwse Duitse handwerkslieden die zich daar hadden gevestigd. 
Spanish ..... Baúles ricamente decorados con modelos en marquetería de arcos y arquitectura fantástica, reminiscencia del palacio de Enrique VIII (desaparecido) de Nonsuch; la denominación significa sin igual. Probablemente fabricado en Alemania del Norte, o por un artesano alemán que se estableció en Londres.
