Note: Pinlike utensils of wood or metal for fastening meat in a specific form while cooking. Arabic ..... - أدوات تشبه الدبوس من الخشب أو المعدن لتثبيت اللحوم بشكل معين أثناء الطهي. أيضًا، يتم استخدام أدوات مماثلة ولكن أطول لثقب الطعام وحفظه أثناء الطهي، مثل الشواية، أو الغمس في الصلصات، مثل الفوندو. استخدم "spits" للقضبان المدببة لحمل قطع كبيرة من اللحوم وغيرها من الأطعمة أثناء الطهي.

Dutch ..... Puntige houten of metalen staven die worden gebruikt voor het bevestigen van vlees in een bepaalde vorm gedurende het koken. Ook soortgelijke maar langere staven die in voedsel worden gestoken en het bijeen houden gedurende het bakken boven een grill of onderdompelen in sauzen, zoals bij fondue. Gebruik 'spitten' voor puntige staven die grote stukken vlees en ander vastvoedsel houden terwijl het wordt gebakken. 
German ..... Nadelähnliches Instrument aus Holz oder Metall, um Fleisch beim Kochen in einer bestimmten Form zu halten. Auch ein ähnliches, aber längeres Instrument, das genutzt wird, um Lebensmittel während des Kochens oder über dem Grill aufzuspießen und zu halten oder wie beim Fondue in eine Soße einzutauchen. Verwende "Bratspieß" für einen angespitzten Stab zum Halten von großen Fleischstücken oder anderen Lebensmitteln während des Kochens. 
Spanish ..... Utensilio en forma de pincho, de madera o metal, utilizado para sujetar la carne de una específica forma mientras se cocina. También, utensilio similar pero más largo utilizado para pinchar y sostener los alimentos mientras se cocinan, sea por ejemplo sobre un gril o para sumergirlos en salsas, como en las foundue. Use "espetón del asador” para designar las varas puntiagudas utilizadas para sostener grandes piezas de carne o de otros alimentos mientras se cocinan.
