Note: Collector's term for Italian Renaissance X-chairs with crossing assemblies only in the front and back. Their name is derived from association with the 14th-century poet Dante, although it is questionable that such chairs were actually used by him.

Dutch ..... Benaming van verzamelaars voor de X-framestoelen in Italiaanse renaissancestijl met alleen aan de voor- en achterkant dwarsverbindingen. De naam is afgeleid van de dichter Dante uit de 14e eeuw, hoewel het maar de vraag is of zulke stoelen daadwerkelijk door hem werden gebruikt.

German ..... In der Sammlersprache Bezeichnung für einen italienischen Scherenstuhl der Renaissance mit zwei gekreuzten Rippen an der Vorder- und Rückseite. Sein Name leitet sich von dem im 14. Jahrhundert lebenden Dichter Dante ab, wenngleich fraglich ist, ob ein Stuhl dieser Art tatsächlich von ihm benutzt wurde.

Spanish ..... Término de coleccionista para sillas X del Renacimiento italiano con ensambles cruzados solo en el frente y respaldo. Su nombre deriva de una asociación con el poeta del siglo XIV Dante, aunque es cuestionable que tales sillas fueran realmente usadas por él.
