Note: Fine clay which, when mixed with water, results in a fluid with a creamlike consistency, used in casting, glazing, decorating, and repairing ceramic wares; in its natural state, it contains sufficient flux to be used for glazing and decorating without the need of additives. For ceramic glaze with a high content of slip, use "slip glaze."

| Dutch ..... Fijne klei die, wanneer gemengd met water, resulteert in een romige vloeistof; wordt gebruikt bij het gieten, glazuren, versieren en repareren van keramiek. In de oorspronkelijke staat is het flexibel genoeg om te kunnen worden gebruikt voor glazuren en versieren zonder de hulp van toevoegsels. Gebruik 'slibglazuur' voor keramisch glazuur met een hoog gehalte aan slib. |
| Spanish ..... Arcilla fina que, al ser mezclada con agua, se convierte en un fluido de consistencia cremosa utilizada en moldes, revestimiento, decoración y reparación de piezas cerámicas. En estado natural, contiene suficiente fundente para ser utilizada en revestimiento y decoración sin necesidad de aditivos. Para un vidriado de cerámica con un alto contenido de barbotina, úsese "vidriado de barbotina." |
