| German ..... Ursprünglich eine Bezeichnung für einen Behang hinter oder an den Rückseiten entweder von Sitzen und Altären. Heute eine Bezeichnung, die sich auf den Vorhang hinter oder auf der Rückseite des Altars befindet. Für einen Wandbehang über oder hinter dem Altar mit religiösen Bildern, verwende "Altarbild". |
| Spanish ..... Término usado originalmente para las colgaduras detrás o sobre los respaldos de los asientos o partes traseras de los altares. Hoy en día el término se refiere a las cortinas detrás o en la parte de atrás de los altares. Para colgaduras de pared sobre y detrás del altar y que incluyen imágenes religiosas, use "retablo”. |
