| Dutch ..... Een lange stok met een collectezakje aan het uiteinde ter inzameling van geld; de collectant kan hiermee alle kerkgangers bereiken. Het zakje is niet zelden voorzien van een geborduurde letter: een D voor diakonie, een K voor de kerk, verwijzend naar de begunstigden van de twee collectes. De oudere collectestokken hadden ook wel een bakje aan het uiteinde. Dit bakje heette in de volksmond ʺcentenbakʺ. Voor voorwerpen waarmee passief geld wordt ingezameld wordt het voorvoegsel offer- gebruikt, zoals bijvoorbeeld offervaas, offerkist etc. |
