Note: An instrument used in radio astronomy for detecting and recording radio emissions from space between wavelengths of about 30 megahertz and 300 gigahertz. Een instrument dat in de radioastronomie wordt gebruikt om radiogolven uit de ruimte op te vangen en vast te leggen die een golflengte hebben tussen ongeveer 30 megahertz en 300 gigahertz. De belangrijkste onderdelen van een radiotelescoop zijn een grote, concave metalen schotel die als gerichte antenne dienst doet en radiogolven opvangt en doet convergeren, een ontvanger en apparatuur waarmee de signalen worden vastgelegd. |
