Note: Strings of worry beads used in Greece and Turkey, characterized by the material often comprising amber or coral, the string of beads containing an odd number of beads, with knots between the beads, generally with the ends bound together into a loop, and often with the ends of the string extending beyond the joint and decorated at the end with a tassel.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Friemelkettinkjes met kralen die in Griekenland en Turkije worden gebruikt. Ze kenmerken zich door het feit dat ze vaak van barnsteen of koraal zijn gemaakt en dat de ketting een oneven aantal kralen bevat, met knoopjes tussen de kralen. De uiteinden zijn meestal in een lus aan elkaar geknoopt, waarbij de uiteinden van het snoer voorbij de knoop doorlopen en aan het eind met een kwastje zijn gedecoreerd.
