Dutch ..... Opklapbare zonnebeschermers gemaakt van een reeks halve hoepels van riet, bedekt met zijde die aan de voorkant van een damesbonnet zijn vastgemaakt en bescherming tegen de zon verschaffen. Werden vooral op de Britse eilanden gedragen halverwege de 19e eeuw. Kan in Schotland ook verwijzen naar alle beschermende hoofddeksels die zijn gemaakt van over halve hoepels gespannen katoen. |

Zusammenklappbare Beschattungsvorrichtung, die aus einer Reihe von Halbreifen aus Rohr hergestellt wurde, mit Seide bedeckt und an der Vorderseite einer Frauenhaube befestigt wurde und Schutz vor der Sonne bot; insbesondere auf den Britischen Inseln während der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts getragen. In Schottland kann es auf die gesamte schützende Haube, die aus Baumwolle gefertigt und über Halbreifen gezogen wurde, verweisen. |
Spanish ..... Artilugio plegable para dar sombra realizado a partir de una serie de cañas de medio arco cubiertas con seda y unidas a la parte delantera de un bonete femenino para proporcionar protección frente al sol. Utilizado especialmente en las Islas Británicas a mediado del siglo XIX. En Escocia, también puede hacer referencia a todo el bonete protector realizado de algodón estirado sobre los medios arcos. |
