| Dutch ..... Gelijkvormige banden die op grote schaal en in grote hoeveelheden worden geproduceerd (vaak met machinaal gemaakte boekbanden), aangebracht op boeken waarvan wordt verwacht snel en veel te verkopen. Gebruikt vanaf het midden van de 18e eeuw. Te onderscheiden van 'genaaide bindingen', wat eenvoudige banden zijn van schapeleer of kalfsleder besteld door boekhandelaren van de 15e tot de 18e eeuw, en in kleinere hoeveelheden werden uitgegeven. |
