Note: Mechanized devices designed to expedite mass fabric production by tying each warp yarn on the existing loom beam to the associated yarn on the replacement loom beam. By automating the loom beam replacement process, these devices eliminate the need for a new warp beam to be drawn-in when the pattern is not changing. Portable tying-in devices were widely introduced in 1910, replacing previously popular stationary machines. |
