Note: Refers to the technique of making compositions from portions of existing images, such as drawings or photographs, arranged into somewhat unified images. When pieces of various relatively flat materials are pasted together to form less unified images, use "collage." Used also in film when two or more shots are superimposed to form a single image.

| Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor de techniek van het maken van samenstellingen van delen van bestaande beelden, zoals tekeningen of foto's, waarbij de samengestelde afbeeldingen in zekere zin één geheel vormen. Gebruik 'collage ' wanneer delen van verschillende, relatief vlakke materialen aan elkaar worden geplakt en zo een minder harmonieus geheel vormen dan een montage. De term montage wordt ook gebruikt in de filmwereld, namelijk voor de wijze waarop beeldreeksen aan elkaar worden gevoegd om één afgerond beeld te krijgen. |
