Note: Galleries or lofts in which an organ is located, often in a church and intended mainly for use by the organist and choir. It is often connected to the organ, with which it may form a single architectural-decorative structure. In some regions, the organ loft is very large, often consisting of several superimposed levels, and is reserved for men attending Mass. It is usually made of wood or stone, supported by ledges with a parapet and sometimes grilles that conceal the members of the choir. It is usually located in the western portion of the nave, above the main entrance to the church, sometimes supported by the inner door. It may also be located in other parts of the nave, in the arms of the transept, or along the walls of the choir.

| Dutch ..... Galerijen of tribunes voor een orgel, vaak in een kerk. |
| German ..... Galerie oder Empore, auf der eine Orgel steht, häufig in einer Kirche und vorwiegend für den Organisten und den Chor gedacht. Sie ist oft mit der Orgel verbunden, mit der sie eine architektonische Einheit bilden kann. In manchen Regionen ist die Orgelempore sehr groß, wobei sie häufig aus mehreren übereinanderliegenden Ebenen besteht und beim Gottesdienst ausschließlich den Männern vorbehalten ist. In der Regel ist sie aus Holz oder Stein, hat eine Brüstung und ein Gesims und manchmal Gitter, die die Chormitglieder verbergen. Sie liegt in der Regel im westlichen Teil des Längsschiffes über dem Haupteingang zur Kirche und wird zuweilen vom inneren Eingangsportal gestützt. Sie kann sich auch in anderen Teilen des Kirchenschiffes befinden, im Querschiff oder entlang den Mauern des Chores. |
