Note: A very strong method of sewing leaves or sections of books using stabbing and side sewing in which the sewing proceeds from one hole (often the center) to the next, then over the head and the tail of the spine. The sewing can also include sewing through the holes and around the back of the book. When complete, the leaves or sections are tied together with a flat knot on the outside.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 一種非常牢固縫製書頁或書頁束的方式,運用穿洞和邊縫,從一個洞(通常在中央)縫到下一個洞,然後繞過書脊的天頭和地腳。此種縫製法亦包括穿過孔洞和繞過書脊的縫訂方式。完成時,以外側的平結將書頁或書頁束固定在一起。 
Dutch ..... Een zeer sterke methode om bladen of delen van boeken in te naaien, waarbij wordt geperforeerd en de zijkanten worden ingenaaid door van het ene gat (vaak het middelste) naar het volgende door te steken, vervolgens over de bovenkant en dan de onderkant van de rug van het boek. Het innaaien kan ook het naaien door de gaten en om de achterkant van het boek omvatten. Wanneer het is voltooid, worden de bladen of delen bij elkaar gebonden door een platte knoop aan de buitenkant. 
Spanish ..... Un método muy firme de coser las hojas o secciones de libros usando el herido y costado de las hojas que se cose en los cuales la costura procede a partir de un orificio (a menudo el centro) al siguiente cruce. Se realiza una columna o estructura central. La costura puede también incluir la costura a través de los agujeros y alrededor de la parte posterior del libro. Cuando son completas, las hojas o las secciones se atan junto con un nudo plano en el exterior.
