Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stroming in de late 19de en vroege 20ste eeuw waarin Amerikaanse architecten en landschapsarchitecten ernaar streefden het niveau en prestige van de stedelijke planning en stadsontwikkeling in Amerika naar een hoger plan te brengen door middel van gemeentelijke hervormingen en verfraaiing in plaats van sociale hervormingen. Met de World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago (1893) als ruggensteun bewerkstelligde de stroming de actieve ontwikkeling van grootstedelijke parksystemen en de oprichting van hervormingsgezinde kunstenaarsverenigingen in grote steden. |

Se refiere al movimiento de fines del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX gobernado por el deseo de los arquitectos y paisajistas americanos de elevar las normas nacionales y el prestigio de la planificación urbana americana y desarrollo de la ciudad a través de la reforma municipal y el embellecimiento en lugar de por medio de la reforma social.
