It also identifies the last capital of the Burmese empire built in 1857-1859 on the Irrawaddy River by King Mindon before the fall of Burma to British imperialists in 1885. | Chinese (traditional) ..... 指現今緬甸諸多民族文化之一。曼德勒是在西元1857年至1859年間由敏東王（King Mindon）建於伊洛瓦底江畔，也是在西元1885年大英帝國入侵導至緬甸帝國滅亡之前的最後一個首都。本區的建築藝術反映義大利風格的影響，顯現於以石材與當地木材建造而成的複合式廟宇與寺院結構等。

Manadalay verwijst tevens naar de laatste hoofdstad van het Birmaanse rijk, die werd gebouwd in de periode 1857-1859 aan de rivier de Irrawaddy door Koning Mindon voordat Birma in 1885 in handen viel van de Britse imperialisten. Architecturale kunst in deze regio weerspiegelt Italiaanse invloeden zoals weergegeven in samengestelde tempel- en kloosterstructuren die bestaan uit steen en inheems hout. |
