Note: Colors commonly associated with fire, such as reds, oranges, and yellows, which suggest warmth and which appear to advance. The optical tendency for warm colors to advance before cool colors had been long exploited by European and Oriental painters as a method of suggesting spatial depth.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Kleuren die vaak worden geassocieerd met vuur, bijvoorbeeld kleurschakeringen van rood, oranje en geel, die een warme indruk geven en zich naar de voorgrond lijken te dringen.
