Dutch ..... Relatief kleine schalen met diepe, steile wanden, van een soort dat wordt gevonden bij Midden- en Zuid-Amerikaanse culturen. Ze kunnen worden gebruikt voor het eten van stoofgerechten en soortgelijk voedsel.

Spanish ..... Úsese para denominar a una pequeña escudilla, usado habitualmente para comer estofados o platos similares. Nombre empleado para denominar a una amplia variedad de vasijas de contorno simple, cuerpo tendiente a semiesférico, que ocasionalmente pueden presentar protúberos en el labio o en las paredes. El cuociente entre el diámetro de la boca y su alto es inferior a 2,75. En términos globales es una escudilla abierta confeccionada en arcilla, típica vasija de terracota, de las culturas andinas. Es troncocónica, con base generalmente de 7 a 8 cm., y boca muy ancha, con un diámetro máximo (promedio) de unos 25 cm., si bien las hay de diversas medidas, de 17 cm., las más pequeñas. Puede diferenciarse el puco de la escudilla por medio de la altura de sus paredes, siendo el puco mucho más profundo. |
