Note: Refers to a type of hydria featuring a neck forming a continuous curve with the body. This shape also features a smaller mouth and narrower neck than the shoulder hydria. It was the most common form of hydria for red-figure. Although the kalpis was introduced after the invention of red-figure, there are some red-figure kapides. Many kalpides were also made in bronze in addition to terracotta and, unlike the metal versions of other shapes, a good number survive.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指一種水甕類型，頸部與器身形成一條連續的曲線。與寬肩水甕相比，容器口較小，頸部亦較窄，是紅彩陶水甕最普遍的形式。雖然圓肩水甕是在紅彩陶器之後出現，不過仍然存在一些紅彩的圓肩水甕。許多圓肩水甕除了低溫陶材質，也會以青銅製作，而相較於其他的金屬材質容器類型，許多青銅圓肩水甕仍保存至今。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een type hydria waarvan de romp in één vloeiende lijn in de hals overgaat. Deze vorm heeft ook een kleinere opening en een smallere hals dan de schouderhydria. Dit type was het meest voorkomende roodfigurige hydria. Hoewel de kalpis na de uitvinding van de roodfigurige techniek werd geïntroduceerd, bestaan er ook zwartfigurige kalpides. Kalpides zijn vaak niet alleen in terracotta maar ook in brons vervaardigd; in tegenstelling tot de metalen uitvoeringen van andere vormen zijn er vrij veel van bewaard gebleven. |
| German ..... Bezieht sich auf eines Typus einer Hydria, die einen Hals aufweist, der eine durchgehende Form mit dem Körper bildet. Diese Form weist eine kleinere Mündung und einen schmaleren Hals auf als eine Schulter-Hydria. Es war die verbreitetste Form unter den Rotfigurigen. Obwohl die Kalpis nach der Erfindung der Rotfigurigen eingeführt wurde, gibt es einige rotfigurige Kalpides. Viele Kalpides wurden auch aus Bronze hergestellt, zusätzlich zu den aus Terrakotta, und im Gegensatz zu den Metallversionen von anderer Gestalt ist eine hohe Anzahl von ihnen überliefert. |
