Note: Single draft-animal drawn farm carts designed to tilt backwards to dump loads, typically having two broad wheels and a wide flat platform. Carts of this type could be used to carry corpses, refuse, or dung. During the French Revolution, this type of cart was frequently the conveyance used to transport prisoners to the guillotine. |
