| Dutch ..... Bouwwerk om het waterpeil van de Nijl op te meten tijdens het overstromingsseizoen. Het niveau wordt gemeten door markeringen op de muren of op een zuil die in het water staat. Werd al in het Oude Egypte gebruikt en kwam pas in onbruik toen de Aswan dam gebouwd werd. |
