| Dutch ..... Een Okimono is een klein Japans houtsnijwerkje, vergelijkbaar met (maar groter dan) Netsuke. In tegenstelling tot de Netsuke, die een specifiek doel had, hadden Okimono een zuiver decoratieve functie en werden weergegeven in de Tokonoma. Tijdens de Meiji-periode werden veel Okimono gemaakt voor de export naar het westen. |
