|
Note: Timber framed, one or one and a half story, side-gabled houses, with a central chimney, steeply-pitched roof, and typically clapboarded or shingled siding. These were small houses found in colonial New England, particularly Massachusetts, during the 18th century. The Cape Cod house also became popular in the United states as a revival style in the 20th century.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 以木材為骨架、樓高一層或一層半，具側邊山牆與陡斜屋頂，正中間設有煙囪的屋舍，其外牆多以楔形板或薄板橫向逐層搭接而成。此種小型屋舍見於十八世紀殖民時期之新英格蘭，特別是在麻薩諸塞州。二十世紀時，柯德角式住宅在美國又以復古形式再次流行。 |
| Dutch ..... Houtskeletwoning met één of anderhalve woonlaag, overdwars zadeldak, centrale schoorsteen, steil dak en kenmerkende buitenwanden van overnaadse planken of dakspanen. Dit waren kleine huizen die werden aangetroffen in het koloniale New England, met name in Massachussetts, tijdens de 18de eeuw. Het Cape Cod-huis werd ook in de 20ste eeuw in de Verenigde Staten populair, toen de stijl nieuw leven werd ingeblazen. |
