Note: Decorated storehouses built by the Maori of New Zealand. The carvings on the storehouses are elaborate designs that advertise the village wealth. | Dutch ..... Gedecoreerde pakhuizen, gebouwd door de Maori's in Nieuw-Zeeland. De snijwerken op de pakhuizen zijn verfijnde ontwerpen die de welstand van het dorp uitdragen. De constructies werden gebruikt om geconserveerde vis, vleesproducten en andere voedingsmiddelen te bewaren en matten, wapens, landbouwwerktuigen en visgerei op te slaan. |
