Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Voorwerpen waarmee de drager over diepe sneeuw kan lopen zonder erin weg te zakken; bestaan meestal uit bespannen, lichte, racketvormige frames en onder de voeten van de drager worden gebonden. 
German ..... Vorrichtung, die dem Träger das Gehen über Tiefschnee hinweg ermöglicht, ohne einzusinken. Der Schneeschuh besteht allgemein aus einem leichten, schlägerförmigen Rahmen, der mit einem Netz aus Riemen oder Fellstreifen bespannt ist und der mit dem Fuß des Trägers verbunden wird. 
Spanish ..... Artefacto en forma de tablero, largo y delgado, sujeto a botas especialmente diseñadas, y que se utiliza para desplazarse sobre la nieve. Es conocido desde hace unos 5000 años, siendo originalmente de hueso animal sujetado directamente al calzado; ahora se realizan de varios materiales duros y duraderos y con una punta afilada y levantada hacia delante.
