Note: Refers to the branch of Islam generally considered the more mainstream and traditionalist Islamic sect, constituting the majority of adherents to Islam. It is founded on the recognition of a theocratic state as an earthly, temporal dominion for Allah and it is characterized by religious leadership determined by and based on contemporary political realities and by the proper exercise of religious order through election rather than through lineage. Sunni doctrine often includes customs and rituals not based in the Qur'an but that evolved through historical development.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 伊斯蘭教的一支,通常被視為較主流且傳統的伊斯蘭教派別,大部分的伊斯蘭教徒都屬此派別。認為神權國家是阿拉在世俗暫時的領土。其宗教領導權取決於當代的政治現實,而宗教組織的執行是透過選舉制而非世襲制。遜尼派的教條常包含可蘭經沒有記載、但是依歷史發展得來的風俗民情及儀式。 
Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de tak van de islam die in het algemeen wordt beschouwd als de grootste en meest traditionalistische islamitische sekte. Deze tak van de islam is gebaseerd op de erkenning van een theocratische staat als een aards, tijdelijk rijk voor Allah. Het religieuze leiderschap wordt hierbij bepaald door hedendaagse politieke werkelijkheden, en is enkel het resultaat van een benoeming en niet gebaseerd op persoonlijke afkomst. De soennadoctrine omvat veel gebruiken en rituelen die niet in de Koran staan, maar zich in de loop van de geschiedenis hebben ontwikkeld. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere a la rama del islamismo generalmente considerado como la secta islámica principal y más tradicional, integrada por la mayoría de adherentes al islam. Fue fundado en el reconocimiento de un estado teocrático como un dominio terrenal temporal para Alá y se caracteriza por liderazgos religiosos determinados por y basados en realidades políticas contemporáneas y por el ejercicio adecuado del orden religioso a través de la elección más que a través del linaje. La doctrina Sunna incluye a menudo costumbres y rituales no basados en el Coran pero que evolucionaron a través del desarrollo histórico.
