Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Kledingstukken zonder of met korte mouwen, die bestaan uit voor- en achterpanden en met open zijden. Ze worden gedragen over andere kledingstukken, soms met heraldische emblemen, door ridders, herauten of burgers, voornamelijk tussen de 12de en de 14de eeuw. Gebruik 'blazoenen' voor gewatteerde of doorgestikte beschermende kledingstukken die over metalen harnassen werden gedragen en die waren verfraaid met heraldische emblemen. 
Italian ..... Abito a due fogli, davanti e dietro e maniche molto corte, o anche senza, per lo più con insegne araldiche o croci cavalleresche. Scendeva dal collo ai fianchi ed era indossato senza cintura. Una versione tardiva aveva quattro fogli, con i due lati più stretti lasciati liberi di cadere. 
Spanish ..... Prenda corta sin mangas o con mangas cortas consistente en un panel delantero y otro trasera abierta por los lados; se lleva sobre otras prendas, a veces para exhibir dispositivos heráldicos por parte de los caballeros, heraldos o civiles, especialmente durante los siglos XII al XIV. Para prendas protectoras almohadilladas o acolchadas que se llevaban sobre la armadura de metal embellecidas con motivos heráldicos, use "jubón (armadura”.
