Note: Refers to an subclass (or "superorder" or "magnorder") containing the orders Cingulata and Pilosa, currently including 29 species among five living families. It includes the living anteaters, tree sloths, and armadillos, as well as the extinct ground sloths, glyptodonts and pampatheres. Xenarthrans were formerly grouped with pangolins and collectively referred to as edentates (a former order, Edentata), which alludes to the absence of teeth in some members.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 指含有甲目與披毛目的亞綱(或「總目」、「高目」)。貧齒亞綱目前包含五個現存科及二十九個物種,包括現存的食蟻動物、樹懶以及犰狳;此外,亦包括已滅絕的地懶、雕齒獸以及潘帕獸。在過去貧齒亞綱與穿山甲被歸為同一類,總稱為貧齒目(Edentata);由此名稱可知當中某些成員並不具有牙齒。
