| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stroming in de 19de eeuwse Westerse kunst die in Frankrijk tot ontwikkeling kwam. De stijl verwierp de traditionele academische opvattingen en poogde aan de hand van de wetenschap zowel de samenstelling van kleuren als de exacte weergave van kleuren, schakeringen en lichtval te kunnen bereiken. Impressionistische kunst kenmerkt zich door het gebruik van lichte touches van pure kleuren, schilderen in de buitenlucht om het kortstondige licht op bepaalde tijdstippen van de dag vast te leggen, en de objectieve weergave van het alledaagse, eigentijdse leven. |

Se refiere al movimiento en el arte Occidental del siglo XIX que se desarrolló en Francia y rechazó la enseñanza académica tradicional e intentó usar la ciencia con respecto a la física del color, tono y luz. El arte impresionista se caracteriza por el uso de pequeños toques de color puro, pintura al aire libre en orden a capturar el instante efímero del día y una descripción objetiva de la vida contemporánea. |
