| Dutch ..... Benaming die oorspronkelijk werd gebruikt voor kleine tafels en kisten met een bovenkant die is bedoeld om geld te tellen, soms met een kastje eronder. De benaming werd later gebruikt voor kasten of plankachtige oppervlakken die meestal op een zodanige hoogte zitten dat de persoon die ervoor staat, zoals in een keuken of winkel, of op een kruk ervoor zit, zoals in een restaurant of bar, er gemakkelijk bij kan. |

Für einen kleinen Tisch oder eine Truhe, deren Oberfläche zum Zählen von Geld markiert ist, manchmal mit einem Schrank darunter, benutze "Rechentisch". |
| Spanish ..... Originalmente mesas pequeñas o arcones con la parte superior marcada para contar dinero, algunas veces con un aparador debajo. Término más tarde aplicado a cajas o superficies semejantes a estantes normalmente de una altura adecuada para que una persona se pare delante de ellos, como en una cocina o tienda, o se siente en taburetes frente a ellos, como en un restaurante o un bar. |
