Note: Sheet glass made by floating a ribbon of hot glass on a bath of heated liquid, usually molten tin. The process was developed in 1959 by Pilkington Brothers and is now the world's principal method of manufacturing good quality sheet glass which is clear, flat, with parallel and fire polished sides.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 在一缸加熱液體（通常為熔融錫）上漂浮帶狀熱玻璃而成的平板玻璃。此法於西元1959年，由皮金頓兄弟（Pilkington Brothers）發明，為目前世界品質優良之平板玻璃的主要製作方式，成品質地清澈、平坦，邊緣相互平行並經火拋光處理。 |
| Dutch ..... Vlakglas dat wordt gemaakt door een lint gesmolten glas boven een bad gesmolten tin te gieten. Het proces is in 1959 ontwikkeld door Pilkington Brothers en is nu de meest gebruikte methode ter wereld voor het maken van plaatglas van goede kwaliteit dat helder en vlak is met parallelle en met hitte gepolijste randen. |
| Spanish ..... Lámina de vidrio fabricada haciendo flotar una cinta de vidrio caliente en un baño de líquido caliente, habitualmente estaño fundido. El proceso fue desarrollado en 1959 por Pilkington Brothers y es actualmente el principal método a nivel mundial para fabricar vidrio en láminas de buena calidad, transparente, con caras paralelas y bien pulidas.
