Record Type: concept
paint stirrers (<temporary alphabetical list: painting equipment>, painting equipment, ... Furnishings and Equipment (hierarchy name))

Note: Small, hand-held tools used to manually agitate paint components in a can or container. Specifically designed with the objective of mixing the liquid contents that rise to the top of the can with the pasty contents that accumulate at the bottom to create a homogenous paint consistency. While sometimes taking the form of stiff metal blades with holes or slots that reduce the resistance of the stirring movement, these tools are often cheaply made of wood or plastic. For the mechanical tools designed to blend paint colors or components, use "paint shakers."
