Note: Czech avant-garde movement of the 1920s, spearheaded by Karel Teige and the group Devětsil. Poetism was an attempt to unify all the arts from literature to architecture, and was influenced by the other European avant-garde movements of the time, including the Futurist, Constructivist, Dada, and Surrealist movements. Poetism was eventually absorbed by the Czech Surrealist movement in the 1930s. Teige's theories encompassed not only the conventional arts of literature, painting, theater and architecture, but epicurianism, jazz music, the circus, and such entertainments as fireworks. All were considered "poetry for the senses."

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指1920年代由泰格與旋覆花社所開創的捷克藝術前衛運動，企圖統整從文學到建築所有的藝術形式。此主義受到當時其他歐洲前衛運動影響，包括未來主義、構成主義、達達主義和超現實主義運動，最後被1930年代的捷克超現實主義運動吸納。泰格的理論不只包含文學、繪畫、劇場和建築等傳統藝術，還納入享樂主義、爵士樂、馬戲團和煙火表演等娛樂，這些都被視為「為感官而生的詩作」。 |
| Dutch ..... Tsjechische avant-gardistische beweging uit de jaren twintig van de 20ste eeuw, aangevoerd door Karel Teige en de groep Devětsil. Poëtisme was een poging om alle kunsten van literatuur tot architectuur met elkaar te verenigen en werd beïnvloed door de andere Europese avant-gardistische beweging uit die tijd, zoals de futuristische, constructivistische, dadaïstische en surrealistische bewegingen. Poëtisme ging uiteindelijk op in de Tsjechische surrealistische beweging in de jaren dertig van de 20ste eeuw. Teige's theorieën omvatten niet alleen de conventionele kunsten literatuur, schilderkunst, theater en architectuur, maar ook epicurisme, jazzmuziek, het circus en amusement zoals vuurwerk. Al deze zaken werden beschouwd als 'poëzie voor de zintuigen'. |
