Note: Japanese porcelain ware produced at the Nabeshima clan’s kiln at Ōkawauchiyama from ca. 1677 to 1871. Production consisted of sometsuke (underglaze cobalt blue, blue-and-white), aoki (celadon), and iroe (polychrome overglaze enamel) wares. In addition to developing original decorative processes, the kiln copied the Chinese doucai techniques.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Japans porselein dat van ca. 1677 tot 1871 werd geproduceerd in de ovens van de Nabeshima-clan in Ōkawauchiyama. Deze goederen werden gemaakt in de stijlen sometsuke (kobaltblauw of blauw-wit onderglazuur), aoki (celadon) en iroe (polychroom email). In de Nabeshima-ovens werden originele decoratieprocessen ontwikkeld, maar ook werd de Chinese doucai-techniek gekopieerd.
