Note: Small, extremely rare egg-shaped vessels of ancient Greece, found in both black- and red-figure. The specific use of oa is not determined although real eggs as well as marble and ceramic ones were placed in graves. Lidded oa might have held scented oil (perfume). Lidless oa were probably not containers since they either have a small hole at one or both end or no opening at all.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 十分罕見的古希臘時代蛋形小容器,上有黑陶與紅陶彩繪。雖然蛋形小容器並沒有特定的使用方式,但蛋製、大理石製及陶土製成的蛋形小容器最原始的功能是放置在墓穴中。有蓋的蛋形小容器可用來盛裝精油(香水);無蓋的蛋形小容器則可能不作為容器使用,因為它們的往往在一端或兩端各有小孔,或根本沒有開口。 
Dutch ..... Kleine, uiterst zeldzame eivormige oud-Griekse vaten, zowel zwart- als roodfigurig gevonden. Waarvoor oa specifiek gebruikt werden is niet bekend, maar echte, marmeren en aardewerken eieren werden wel in graven geplaatst. In oa met deksel is wellicht reukolie (parfum) bewaard. Oa zonder deksel waren waarschijnlijk geen houders omdat ze maar een kleine opening aan een of beide uiteinden hebben, of helemaal geen opening.
