Theater der öffentlichen Hand. Die Stadttheater sind aus den Hoftheatern des späteren 18. oder 19. Jahrhunderts, zum Teil auch aus von wohlhabenden Bürgern einer Stadt gemeinschaftlich finanzierten Privattheatern hervorgegangen, die sich bereits im 19. Jahrhundert Stadttheater nannten. |
