Dergelijke strips ontstonden halverwege de jaren 60 van de 20ste eeuw in de Verenigde Staten en Groot-Brittannië. Ze werden goedkoop geproduceerd, vaak door de kunstenaars zelf, en werden doorgaans niet via traditionele kanalen verspreid. |
