Dutch ..... Dubbelwandige houders ontworpen om de temperatuur van de opgeslagen vloeistoffen te reguleren. Oorspronkelijk uitgevonden door Sir James Dewar. Gebruik 'Thermossen (TM)' voor de voorbeelden hiervan. De term 'thermosflessen' wordt ' vaak op 'vacuümflessen' in het algemeen toegepast. |
Spanish ..... El termo es una vasija de forma cilíndrica con base plana y tapadera rosca hermética provista de dobles paredes, entre las que se ha hecho el vacío. Sirve para que las sustancias introducidas conserven su temperatura sin que influya la del ambiente. Su nombre proviene de la marca comercial THERMOS, quienes a principios del siglo XX patentaron el diseño de James Dewar, adecuándolo para contener agua caliente y posteriormente alimentos. En origen su interior es de vidrio con una fina película metálica, pero en la actualidad se fabrican de otros materiales como el acero inoxidable. También se denomina termo al aparato diseñado para calentar el agua en el hogar y distribuirla por medio de cañerías. |
