Deze stof wordt gebruikt als conserveringsmiddel in voedingsmiddelen en als ingrediënt in kleur- en antiseptische stoffen. Daarnaast is het een nuttig reagens waarmee een aantal kationen gedetecteerd kunnen worden. |
