Note: Sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2) is a toxic inorganic gas used as a structural fumigant insecticide to control dry-wood termites. It was developed by Dow Chemical Company in the late 1950s and sold under the trade name "Vikane." It more recently has been used as a post-harvest fumigant for dry fruits, nuts, and grains, sold for this use under the trade name "ProFume."

| Dutch ..... Sulfurylfluoride (SO2F2) is een toxisch anorganisch gas dat als structureel bestrijdingsmiddel tegen houttermieten wordt gebruikt. Het middel is in de jaren 50 van de 20ste eeuw door Dow Chemical ontwikkeld en werd verkocht onder de handelsnaam 'Vikane'. In recentere jaren wordt het middel na het oogsten gebruikt als ontsmettingsmiddel voor gedroogde vruchten, noten en granen, en voor dat doel verkocht onder de handelsnaam 'ProFume'. |
