Note: Specialized type of mitten gauntlet, in which the end finger lame was extended so that, when the hand was closed, it could be fastened to the cuff, thus locking the hand in its grip on a weapon; they were popular in the 16th century as double pieces for foot-combat armor.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Gespecialiseerd type @'mitten gauntlets' waarbij het laatste vingerharnasplaatje was verlengd waardoor het, als de hand gesloten was, vastgemaakt kon worden aan de manchet zodat de hand rond een wapen was geklemd; ze waren populair in de 16e eeuw als @'double pieces' voor harnassen voor gevechten te voet. 
Spanish ..... Tipo especializado de guantelete de mitón, en el que la parte final de la lámina de los dedos se extendía de tal manera que, cuando la mano estaba cerrada, éste se podía abrochar al puño, cerrando así la mano en su empuñamiento del arma; fueron populares en el siglo XVI como piezas dobles para la armadura de los combates a pie.
