Note: Refers to the style of wall painting that developed after the earthquake in Pompeii in 62 CE, and was made fashionable by painters working for Nero in Rome. | Chinese (traditional) ..... 指西元62年於龐貝城地震之後所發展出的壁畫風格，此風格受在羅馬為尼祿（Nero）工作的畫家採用而蔚為風尚。特色為精巧的建築結構、錯視畫法（ trompe l'oeil）、日常景象、靜物，以及畫上的嵌線與實際嵌線裝飾(moldings)的並置呈現。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de muurschilderstijl die zich ontwikkelde na de aardbeving in Pompeji in 62 v. Chr. Deze stijl werd populair gemaakt door schilders die voor keizer Nero in Rome werkten. De stijl wordt gekenmerkt door uitvoerige architectonische ontwerpschetsen, trompe-l'oeil, genrestukken, stillevens en naast elkaar geplaatste geschilderde en echte lijstwerken. |

El estilo se caracteriza por elaborados planos, escenas del género l'oeil del trompe, aún vivas y yuxtaposiciones entre molduras pintadas y reales. |
