Note: Refers to a style of ancient Greek vase painting that employed a variation on the technique of the Red-figure style and became popular in the middle of the fifth century BCE. It is characterized by the use of a chalky white slip as a background, over which black glaze was used to outline figures, and diluted glazes of purple, brown, red, and white were used to color the figures. Additional colors that could not withstand firing were added afterwards. Scenes often depict figures situated on a common groundline at the bottom of a panel or in horizontal bands, which is unlike earlier compositions where figures were generally scattered throughout the picture plane.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 稱指風行於西元前五世紀中期，運用紅繪式風格技法變化的古希臘花瓶彩繪風格。此風格的特徵是運用白色粉狀質感的泥釉作為背景，以黑色釉彩在上面畫出人像輪廓，並使用稀釋的紫色、棕色、紅色，以及白色釉彩為人像著色。其他無法承受燒製的點綴色彩是在後來才加上去的。創作品上面的裝飾景象通常是將人像描繪在飾條底部，或者是平行裝飾條紋的的底線之上，不像在較早期的構圖之中，人形通常是散佈在整個圖畫平面上。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een stijl in de Oud-Griekse vaasschilderkunst, die een variatie gebruikte van de techniek van de Roodfigurige stijl en opgeld deed in het midden van de 5de eeuw v. Chr. De stijl kenmerkt zich door het gebruik van een kalkachtige, blanke engobe als achtergrond, waar overheen zwart glazuur werd gebruikt om de figuren uit te lijnen. Verdunde paarse, rode en blanke glazuren werden gebruikt om de figuren in te kleuren. Bijkomende kleuren die niet tegen bakken waren bestand werden naderhand toegevoegd.De taferelen tonen dikwijls figuren op een gemeenschappelijke grondlijn aan de onderkant van een vlak, of in horizontale banden, hetgeen verschilt van eerdere composities waar figuren in het algemeen over het gehele schildervlak waren verspreid. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a un antiguo estilo griego de pintura en vaso que empleaba una variación en la técnica del estilo de la figura roja y que se volvió popular a mediados del siglo V a.C. Se caracteriza por el uso de un engobe blanco calcáreo como un fondo encima del que el glaseado negro fue usado para perfilar figuras y barnices diluidos púrpura, bronce, rojo y blanco fueron usados para colorear las figuras. Posteriormente se agregaron colores adicionales que no podían resistir la cocción. Las escenas a menudo representan figuras situadas en un fondo común en la parte de abajo de un tablero o en bandas horizontales a diferencia de composiciones más tempranas donde generalmente se esparcían las figuras a lo largo y ancho de la superficie del cuadro. |
