Note: Refers to a phase of Greek style that followed the Geometric style chronologically, retained many elements of Geometric style, and was either transitional or an archaism, depending upon the geographic location. In some cases, it occurred after the flourishing of the Geometric period, but before the Orientalizing period was fully established, and thus provided a transition from one style to the other. In other cases, it occurred after the Orientalizing period was established, and thus was a conscious attempt to recreate the earlier Geometric style.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 時間上緊接在幾何式風格後之希臘風格的一個階段，此風格保留了許多幾何式風格的元素，並且隨著地理區域的不同，而呈現出過渡風格或者是仿古風格。在某些例子中，此風格出現在幾何時期興盛之後、但是卻出現在東方化時期完整建立之前，因而提供了風格轉變過程中的過渡階段。在另一些情況中，此風格在東方化時代建立之後出現，而作為重現早期幾何風格的一種有意識的嘗試。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een periode van Griekse stijl die chronologisch volgde op de Geometrische stijl, vele elementen uit de Geometrische stijl behield, en die ofwel een tussenvorm, ofwel archaïsch was, afhankelijk van de geografische locatie. In sommige gevallen, verscheen de stijl na de bloei van de Geometrische periode, maar nog voordat de Oriëntaliserende periode volledig was gevestigd, en vormde daardoor een overgangsfase tussen de ene stijl en de andere. In andere gevallen ontstond de stijl nadat de Oriëntaliserende periode was gevestigd, en was derhalve een bewuste poging om de vroegere Geometrische stijl nieuw leven in te blazen. |

Se refiere a una fase del estilo griego que siguió el estilo Geométrico cronológicamente, mantuvo muchos elementos del estilo Geométrico y fue cualquiera de los dos, de transición o un arcaísmo, dependiendo de la situación geográfica. En algunos casos, existió después del florecimiento del período Geométrico, pero antes de que se estableciera totalmente el período de Orientalización y de esta manera facilitó una transición de un estilo al otro. En otros casos, ocurrió después que se estableció el período de Orientalización y de este modo fue un esfuerzo consciente por recrear el antiguo estilo Geométrico. |
