Note: Refers to a Late Iron Age phase and culture of European Celts named for the site at La Tène, or "The Shallows," at Lake Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It began in the mid-fifth century BCE, and it spread throughout northern Europe and the British Iles, finally disappearing in the mid-first century BCE. It is characterized by Greek and Etruscan influences on traditional Celtic culture, and by the great geographical expansion of the Celts.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een fase en cultuur van de Europese Kelten in de Late IJzertijd, genoemd naar de archeologische vindplaats La Tène, of De Ondiepe Wateren, bij het Meer van Neuchâtel in Zwitserland. De fase begon in het midden van de 5de eeuw v. Chr. en de cultuur verspreidde zich over Noord-Europa en de Britse Eilanden, om ten slotte halverwege de 1ste eeuw v. Chr. te verdwijnen. La Tène kenmerkt zich door Griekse en Etruskische invloeden op de traditionele Keltische cultuur en door de sterke geografische verspreiding van de Kelten. |

Fait référence à une période et à une culture de la fin de l’âge du Fer chez les Celtes d’Europe, qui tire son nom du site de La Tène, ou « les bas-fonds », au lac de Neuchâtel, en Suisse. Cette phase débute au milieu du cinquième siècle avant notre ère et s’étend à toute l’Europe du Nord et aux îles britanniques, pour finalement disparaître au milieu du premier siècle avant notre ère. Elle se caractérise par des influences grecques et étrusques sur la culture celtique traditionnelle et par la grande dispersion géographique des Celtes. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a un período y cultura de la Edad de Hierro Tardía de los celtas europeos denominadas por el sitio en La Tène, o "el Bajío" en el Lago Neuchâtel, Suiza. Surge a mediados del siglo quinto a.C., y se extendió a lo largo de Europa del norte y las Islas Británicas, finalmente desaparece en el siglo primero a.C. Se caracteriza por influencias griegas y etruscas sobre la cultura Céltica tradicional y por la gran expansión geográfica de los celtas. |
