Note: Refers to the style of porcelain made in China during the T'ang dynasty (618-906 BCE), characterized by streaks and spots of three colors, typically dark blue, turquoise and aubergine. The term also refers to pottery made during the Ming and Ching dynasties (1368-1912), made with the same three colors, but separated by clay ridges outlining the pattern.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 用指中國唐代(西元618年至906年)的瓷器風格,三色條紋及斑點為其特色,一般為深藍、藍綠、紫紅三色。「三彩」這個名詞亦可用指明清時代(西元1368年至1912年)製作的陶器,亦採用同樣的三種顏色,但兩個時代的陶器以黏土的刻紋作區別。 
Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stijl van porselein dat werd gemaakt in China ten tijde van de T'ang-dynastie (618-906 v. Chr.), en wordt gekenmerkt door lijnen en stippen in drie kleuren, gewoonlijk donkerblauw, turkoois en aubergine. De term verwijst ook naar keramiek dat werd gemaakt ten tijde van de Ming- en Ching-dynastieën (1368-1912) en dat was geschilderd in dezelfde drie kleuren, van elkaar gescheiden door kleirandjes die het patroon aangeven. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere al estilo de la porcelana hecho en China durante la dinastía de T'ang (618-906 a.C), caracterizada por las rayas y los puntos de tres colores, típicamente azul marino, turquesa y berenjena. El término también se refiere a la cerámica hecha durante las dinastías de Ming y de Ching (1368-1912), hechas con los mismos tres colores, pero separadas por cantos de la arcilla que contornean el patrón.
