Note: Celebrations of the eucharist by a number of priests at once. Together the priests say the eucharistic prayer or the words of consecration over the same bread and wine. The practice died out in the West except at ordinations, but it was revived in the Roman Catholic Church by Vatican II. It is sometimes used as a way to allow priests and congregations from churches out of communion with one another to have a eucharist together.

| Dutch ..... Eucharistievieringen met meerdere priesters. De priesters spreken het eucharistisch gebed of de consecratie van hetzelfde brood en dezelfde wijn gezamenlijk uit. Behalve voor wijdingen is het gebruik in het westen uitgestorven, maar het werd nieuw leven ingeblazen door het Tweede Vaticaans Concilie. Soms wordt het gebruikt om priesters en congregaties van kerken buiten de parochie in staat te stellen samen de eucharistie te vieren. |
| Spanish ..... Celebraciones de la Eucaristía por un número de sacerdotes mayor. Los sacerdotes juntos dicen la oración eucarística o las palabras de consagración sobre el mismo pan y vino. La practica cesó en el occidente, excepto en ordenaciones, pero fué revivida en la Iglesia Católica Romana por el Concilio Vaticano II. Algunas veces es usado como un medio de permitir a los sacerdotes y congregaciones de iglesias excluidas de la comunión de tener una Eucaristía junto a otra. |
