Note: Nahua "toe" or "claw" military insignia rendered as an elongated droplet-like shape and topped by a feather crest, usually of quetzal feathers. Worn on a back frame, it was manufactured in yellow, green, and red varieties and paired with a feathered bodysuits of the same color. It was given to high-ranking warriors and as a tribute item in the postclassic period across central Mexico.

Spanish ..... Insignia militar nahua de "dedo" o "garra", con forma de gota alargada y coronada por una cresta de pluma, generalmente de quetzal. Usada en la espalda, se fabricaba en variedades amarillas, verdes y rojas y se emparejaba con un traje de plumas del mismo color. Se les ofrecía a los guerreros de alto rango y hacía parte de los productos tributados en el período posclásico en todo el centro de México.
